Oil and gas consultancy, recruitment and management company, IRM Offshore Services was recently awarded ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. These certifications bring it on a par with the world’s elite organizations, seeking to develop environmental management and health and safety procedures. IRM Offshore Services is now one of only a handful of companies of its kind in Qatar audited to these standards.
To mark the occasion a representative from accreditation body, TUV NORD, presented Jaison Francis, Managing Director and Steve Farnham, Regional Manager, with IRM Offshore Services’ latest certificates of recognition on 25TH September 2014.
Francis said: “This is another step that we have taken to deliver on high expectation and ensure that IRM Offshore Services operates in line with internationally approved standards of quality and efficiency. Achieving ISO certification recognizes the experience of our management team and dedicated efforts of our staff.
“IRM remains focused on continuous improvement and excellence as a premier provider of Operational and Project consultancy services for the Oil & Gas Industry.”
The strict auditing controls demanded for certification of ISO14001 illustrates that accredited organizations meet strict protocols to ensure their processes follow best practice in regards to environmental impact, while the leading international specification for health and safety management, OHSAS 18001, highlights IRM Offshore Services’ commitment to continually improving its operations in this respect. The company has long held a ‘zero incident mindset’, a philosophy shared with its staff working in organizations throughout the country.
These latest certifications build on ISO9001, an international standard for quality management, which the company has held since 2012.
